Our comeback story is about a MONSTER 9lb (nine-pound) goldfish heaved from the waters of a lake in Greenville, North Carolina. Guess us humans aren’t the only ones putting on the pounds during quarantine, amiright? Park officials had been conducting a survey of the lake and found this sole behemoth lurking in the waters. Did you know that goldfish can live up to 30 years in the wild? And at their greatest can weigh up to 6 pounds…but this big bitch has them beat.
Greenville wildlife official Ty Houck told NBC “At the advice of professionals we decided to leave the bachelor, or bachelorette, back where we found it,” Houck said. “Obviously, they’re really happy here.”
